Where should I move to...I hate my town and I'm about to go to college?

For sure stay away from southern california. I have lived here my whole life and trust me, it is probably the most overrated area in the US. I have heard houston texas is a great place to live. My family lives over there and they say everyone there is relaxed and outgoing. Unlike most big cities which have snobby self centered people.But i am more of a small town person so my answer may be too biased
